Formation:
The committee is formed by individual volunteers
under the guidance of the Re'ese Adbarat Debreselam
Kidist Mariam Church Board of Trustees.
Mission:
The committee’s mission is to provide
an opportunity for Ethiopian children to learn
about the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian faith
and practices, the history of the church,
the Ethiopian language, society, culture,
history, geography and the economic basis
of the country.
Objective:

Provide a forum for religious
teachings, including bible study, religious
songs, religious practices and the history
of the church

Teach Amharic language
those children who are born here in the
US in preparation for the Amharic religious
teachings
-
Invite different Ethiopian
professionals and scholars to conduct presentations
in the area of their expertise with special
emphasis on the Ethiopian society, history,
culture, geography and economy.

Provide an environment
where children can socialize and entertain
The program is run by volunteer committee
members and parents and is conducted every
Sunday morning.
